Exhibition by Local Photographers

The public is cordially invited to The Annual Swarthmore Photographers’ Exhibition, opening Friday, January 15th, 2010 with a reception from 5-7PM in Swarthmore Borough Hall Gallery.

This annual exhibition features the work of photographers 18 years of age or older, who reside in Swarthmore or Rutledge including Swarthmore College students. A photographer may present for display one or two original photographs, which have not previously been exhibited at Borough Hall. The exhibit will be on view until February 21. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 8AM to 9PM; Friday, 8AM to 7PM; Saturday, 9AM to 5PM; and Sunday 1-5PM.

Purchase of exhibited photographs can be arranged through Swarthmore Friends of the Arts, a volunteer organization responsible for the rotating exhibits at Swarthmore Borough Hall.

The mission of Friends of the Arts is to encourage the expression of all forms of art by local artists and to provide a venue for artistic dialogue. Besides this annual exhibit, an annual artists’ exhibition is offered every spring. Solo and group exhibitions by artists and photographers beyond the immediate community are also encouraged.
